Here is a rare engineering sample of the AMD K5, released in 1996. This CPU was the 5th generation of AMD CPU. This particular sample features a 66 MHz FSB, 16 KB of L1 cache and an effective built-in FPU. AMD never released the K5 200 MHz and the higher frequency reached by the K5 was 166 MHZ. The AMD K5 was not a great success in the industry because of the delay and thermal problems.
